EnviroBuild, with Jarrett Franklin and Ryan Shough, specialize in making custom cabinets and furniture using FSC wood, reclaimed lumber, or low/no toxic finishes. They are making good use of the "new" cafeteria building behind the historic school building. Covington Foundation Grant: CCP&D was awarded a $15,000 matching grant from the Marian Stedman Covington Foundation for replacing the windows in the Sugar Grove Developmental Day School with tinted, tempered, and thermopane glass in period style. CCP&D & SGDDS are in the process of raising the $7,500 required to receive the match. Donations would be appreciated!! Landscaping: A gift of $1,000 from the Cove Creek Grange initiated the landscaping renewal around the historic school in early July. A second gift of $500 from the Grange is finishing this project, the the able assistance of Peggy Hagaman and Howard Love. Stop by and see how nice it looks!! Window Replacement: The windows in the historic building are being replaced with thermopane, insulated windows to improve heating and cooling efficiency. The replacement windows selected restore the building to it's original look. Presently, 115 of the 137 windows have been replaced. There's only 22 more windows to replace, so please print out the donation form and donate one or more windows in memory of a Cove Creek graduate, friend, or relative. The following picture illustrates how the new windows (on the first floor) not only provide insulation to keep the heat inside, but also return the building to its original appearance.
